Hours of operation: Mon-Fri: 10:00am-4:00pm

Referrals: Self-referrals are accepted.  

Clientele: Anyone who has a relative, loved one, partner or friend diagnosed with a serious mental illness (Schizophrenia).

Fee: None
         Membership Fee: $25  (Membership is not obligatory)

Accessibility: The building is not wheelchair accessible. However, a volunteer will make home visits.

Availability: Immediate and flexible.

 Who we are: The Hamilton Chapter, Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, was formerly known as Ontario Friends of Schizophrenics. It is a charitable self-help organization for families and friends of people suffering from Schizophrenia. Our goals are to:
  • Provide mutual support for families
  • Share coping skills
  • Promote public awareness of the illness
  • Encourage research
  • Advocate for increased services for the ill person and their families
