welcome all individuals experiencing a mood disorder and all individuals
who have a family member or friend who experiences a mood disorder.

Who we are:
Mood Menders is a
support group. Our goal is to teach coping skills and to support people
who are affected by mood disorders, in particular, depression and
manic-depression.
What we offer:
We specialize in:
- providing
information and education to individuals and their families or friends
about different aspects of Mood Disorders, their management and the
implications for the person with a mood disorder and his/her family.
- helping
individuals who experience a Mood Disorder come to terms with their
illness. Assisting them in resolving some of the problems and issues
that they face.
- helping
relatives and friends understand their loved one's illness and how to
deal with the problems that arise from it.
- providing
information to the general public about Mood Disorders.
Meetings:
- Educational Meeting
Featuring speakers, discussion panels or videos on the 2nd Tuesday of every month between 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at the Fontbonne Building, St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario .
Informal Support Meeting
Sharing coping skills and providing support and encouragement to participants on the 4th Tuesday of every month
at the Self-Help
Centre, 255 West Avenue North, Hamilton, Ontario L8L 5C8
