Who we are:
Our mission is to
make families and friends of individuals affected by mental illness aware
of mental health services in the community. Our goals are to provide
information concerning mental health supports, services and agencies, and
to reduce the helplessness and stress of families challenged by mental
illness in order to ensure appropriate utilization of all mental health
resources..
What we offer: We offer information on family support and self-help groups, mental health services and agencies, mental health issues, community support and systems, as well as activities and housing. This is done by the telephone information line with after hours voice mail, publications, newsletters and public education advocacy of family interest. The agency consists of a group of representatives of mental health support and self-help groups, which is organized through a Program Advisory committee. To join the committee, contact Alethea Ouzas. |
