referrals and Hamilton Police Services.

Availability: Telephone lines open 24hrs. Upon volunteer availability.

Who we are:  Callers within the New  City of Hamilton, extended community and satellite areas including local detention centres, will be provided with a 24 hour telephone service upon availability of volunteers.  Callers will be sustained with a confidential (within legal limits), non-judgmental, general, information, help crisis intervention and suicide line.  Callers will be supported by professional staff and trained volunteers in areas of communications, social and health concerns, and crisis intervention.  Callers will be educated in resources available to them to further help themselves.  Callers will be respected and nurtured through policies and procedures that identify the uniqueness and diversity of all people.

  • Referrals To Other Agencies/Self-Help Support Groups
