  • This cannula is used for ventricular localization and catheter placement.  It can also be used for brain cavity fluid aspiration, such as CSF or abscess fluid.
  • It is often used with a syringe for aspiration.  It is marked in centemeter increments.  At times, a ruler is used to measure cannula depth.
