NB:

  • Give credit for the best response obtained

  • Pain stimuli are not standardized. Nailbed pressure can be used as a peripheral pain stimulus. Pinching the top of the trapezius works well as a more central pain stimulus with supraorbital pressure and sternal rub as alternatives.

  • If patient is assessed while intubated count the points and add "T"
